Put the app on your Home Screen
Add Barton Forge to your phone's Home Screen so it opens like an app, one tap away.
Barton Forge runs in your phone's web browser. There is nothing to download from an app store. Add it to your Home Screen once and it gets its own icon and opens full screen, like any other app. You stay signed in.
iPhone or iPad
Apple doesn't let a website add itself, so it takes three taps:
- Open www.bartonforge.com/app in Safari (Chrome on iPhone works too).
- Tap Share (the square with the arrow up) in the browser bar. On a newer iPhone, tap ••• first, then Share.
- Tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
The app shows these same steps in a card at the top of Jobs until you tap Got it.
Android
- Open www.bartonforge.com/app in Chrome (Samsung Internet and Edge work too).
- Tap Add on the card at the top of Jobs, or open your account menu and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Your phone asks to install. Tap Install.
No card or menu item? Open the browser's ⋮ menu and tap Add to Home screen or Install app.
Don't want it?
Tap Not now or Got it and the card won't come back on that phone. You can still add it later from your account menu (Add to Home Screen).
The card and the menu item don't show once you're using the app from the Home Screen.
Opening the app
When you tap the icon, you see the Barton Forge leaf and a small spinner for a moment while the app loads. That is normal. Right after we release an update it can take a second or two longer.
