Find your way around
The tabs at the bottom, the account menu, and how the app changes on a bigger screen.
On your phone
The tabs along the bottom of the screen take you to the main parts of the app:
| Tab | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Jobs | Every job, with filters for Today, Unpaid, and more. This is where the app opens. |
| Customers | The people you work for, and their jobs. |
| Parts | Use, Receipts, History, and Inventory. |
When you're in Parts, a second row of tabs shows at the top: Use, Receipts, History, and Inventory. See How Parts works.
Your account menu
Tap your photo (or initial) in the top right corner. That opens your account menu, with your photo, light and dark screen, language, Help & Feedback, Billing, Settings, and Sign out. See Your account menu.
On a computer or tablet
On a wider screen, the tabs move to the top bar, next to the Barton Forge name. Some screens show more at once:
- Jobs shows the job list down the left side, and the job you pick on the right. Before you pick one, the right side shows New requests and Due today. With two or more people, Week shows the crew's week as a grid. See The Jobs list.
- Customers shows the customer list, with the picked customer's jobs alongside.
- Parts screens keep their buttons on the left and the list or table on the right.
Everything works the same way. It's just laid out wider.
Going back
On a job or a customer, tap Jobs or Customers at the top left to go back to the list. Other screens have a back button at the bottom, like Back to inventory. Your phone's back button or swipe works too.
Tap the Barton Forge name in the top left any time to go back to your jobs.
