Parts used on a job
Record which parts went into a job, from the job page or while scanning, so stock stays right.
When you use parts from your stock, you can hang them on the job. The job's page then lists them under Used on this job, and your on-hand count drops.
From the job page
- Open the job.
- Scroll down and tap Add used item.
- Search your stock by name, brand, barcode, or SKU, and tap the part.
- Set the quantity and confirm.
Add used item isn't there on a Cancelled job.
While scanning
- Go to Parts, then Use.
- Scan or type the barcode. See Use: scan parts out.
- Before you tap Use, tap Assign to job and pick the job. Only open jobs are listed, and you can search them.
- Tap Use to confirm the quantity.
Picked the wrong job? Tap Change job to pick another, or Clear job to use the part without a job. Pick the job again for each part you scan.
Forgot to pick a job
- Go to Parts, then History, and tap Used.
- Find the part. It says No job.
- Tap Assign to job and pick the job.
See History.
You can do the same from a part's page in Inventory.
What shows on the job
Used on this job lists each use, newest first: the part's name, how many, and the date.
On the invoice
When you tap Invoice on the job, the parts used go on it under Parts used, by name and total quantity, marked Included in the price. You don't type them again. They don't change the price; the job's price covers them. Turn off Show parts used before you send to leave them off. See Send an invoice.
